Why It Matters

Dance helps children express themselves freely while strengthening fine motor skills, focus, and confidence. It’s not just about steps — it’s about finding joy in movement and connecting with others through rhythm and creativity.

 

Open to All

Our weekend Dance classes are open to all children in the community, not just our preschool families. Whether your child is a beginner or already loves to dance, this program is a perfect weekend activity that blends fun and learning.

 

Our Dance Program is where creativity takes center stage! At Building Kidz, we believe that every child has a natural rhythm waiting to shine. Through joyful movement and guided exploration, our young dancers learn balance, coordination, discipline, and self-expression.

 

What Your Child Will Experience

  • Foundations of Dance: Fun, age-appropriate lessons in basic ballet, jazz, and creative movement.
  • Confidence in Motion: Kids learn to move with purpose and grace, developing coordination and body awareness.
  • Teamwork and Performance: Each class encourages group participation, preparing children for small showcases and performances.

Dance Program (Ages 3–7)

At Building Kidz, our dance program nurtures creativity, confidence, and coordination in every child. Through joyful movement and foundational technique, children discover self-expression while developing balance, rhythm, and focus — all within a supportive, play-based environment that celebrates the performing arts.
 

Body Movement Creative Movement (Ages 3–4 | 45 Minutes)

Designed especially for pre-schoolers, this class introduces children to movement and music through imagination and play. Little dancers explore rhythm, following directions, and taking turns while expressing creativity through props, games, and stories. It’s the perfect way to begin a lifelong love of dance!
Attire: Comfortable, form-fitting clothing that allows free movement. Ballet shoes are encouraged, but socks are fine too.

Primary Ballet ( Ages 4-5 | 1 Hour )

This class gently introduces the foundations of ballet through age-appropriate exercises that build coordination, balance, and grace. Creative movement remains an essential part of each class, ensuring a fun and imaginative experience as students begin to learn basic ballet positions and steps.
Attire: Black leotard, pink or skin-tone tights, and ballet shoes are strongly encouraged. Clothing should be form-fitting and comfortable.

beginning ballet ( 6+ | 4 Hour )

In this class, dancers expand on foundational ballet technique while learning proper posture, placement, and coordination. As we prepare for barre work, students refine their understanding of ballet vocabulary and explore more advanced movement patterns across the floor — always with creativity and joy at the center.
Attire: Black leotard, pink or skin-tone tights, and ballet shoes are strongly encouraged. Clothing should be form-fitting and allow for freedom of movement.

beginning Jazz ( Ages 6+ | 1 Hours )

Our jazz class introduces young dancers to the expressive world of jazz through upbeat music and energetic movement. Each session includes warm-ups, technical work, and choreography that build rhythm, flexibility, and performance confidence.
Attire: Form-fitting clothing that allows for movement. Jazz shoes are encouraged, but ballet shoes are also suitable.
