The case for the arts
More than an after-thought elective
There are many day cares, pre-schools, and schools around the world — but few learning centers for young children that truly specialize in substantial enrichment: language, reading, music, dance, and theater.
The arts shouldn't be reduced to coloring books and paint-by-numbers for our youngest learners. By almost every measure, children who study the arts are happier, more self-confident, and more likely to academically outperform those who don't.
